Ferals
Apple trees are not native to Ontario. They were brought by the early colonists, but many trees escaped cultivation. The feral descendants of these now grow entangled in the local ecosystem. The recent arrival of many more new species has continued to transform the forest. The paintings are fractured, chaotic and dense, revelling in the vitality of their subjects.
